Which Apple Devices Support Siri AI? Here's the Complete Compatibility List
Siri is getting its biggest upgrade ever.
With iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27, Apple is introducing Siri AI. A much smarter, more natural assistant that can understand context, help you get things done across apps, and feel more like having a real conversation.
The feature is currently in beta and is expected to roll out to everyone this fall. The only catch? Not every Apple device will support Siri AI.
In this article, I'll show you exactly which iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro models are compatible.
Which iPhones support Siri AI?
If you have one of the following iPhones, you'll be able to use Siri AI:
iPhone 17 Pro
iPhone 17 Pro Max
iPhone Air
iPhone 17
iPhone 17e
iPhone 16 Pro
iPhone 16 Pro Max
iPhone 16
iPhone 16 Plus
iPhone 16e
iPhone 15 Pro
iPhone 15 Pro Max
If you're using an iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, or an older model, Siri AI won't be available because these devices don't have the required hardware to run Apple's latest AI features.
Which iPads support Siri AI?
Siri AI is available on these iPads:
iPad Pro with M1 chip or newer
iPad Air with M1 chip or newer
iPad mini with A17 Pro
Older iPad models won't support the new Siri experience.
Which Macs support Siri AI?
Good news if you own a modern Mac.Every Mac with Apple silicon supports Siri AI, including:
MacBook Air (M1 or newer)
MacBook Pro (M1 or newer)
iMac (M1 or newer)
Mac mini (M1 or newer)
Mac Studio
Mac Pro with Apple silicon
MacBook Neo
Basically, if your Mac runs on an Apple silicon chip, you're ready for Siri AI.
Which Apple Watches support Siri AI?
Siri AI also comes to Apple Watch, but there's one important thing to know. Your Apple Watch needs to be paired with a supported iPhone.
Compatible models are:
Apple Watch Series 9 and newer
Apple Watch Ultra 2 and newer
Apple Watch SE (3rd generation)
Apple Vision Pro
All current Apple Vision Pro models support Siri AI.
Some Siri AI features require newer hardware
While all of the devices above support Siri AI, Apple is also introducing a few advanced features that need even more powerful hardware.
One example is the new voice controls, which let you customize Siri's pace and expressivity to make the voice sound more natural and personal.
These advanced voice options are currently available on:
iPhone 17 Pro
iPhone 17 Pro Max
iPhone Air
iPad Pro with M4 or newer (with at least 12GB unified memory)
Macs with M3 or newer (with at least 12GB unified memory)
Apple Vision Pro with M5
Apple has also confirmed that its most advanced on-device AI model is limited to this newer generation of hardware. Exactly how much this improves Siri in everyday use is something we'll discover as Apple continues to develop the feature.
Is Siri AI worth upgrading for?
If you've been waiting for Siri to become genuinely useful, this is easily the biggest update Apple has ever released for its voice assistant. Siri AI can understand more natural conversations, remember context, and work more intelligently across your apps and Apple devices. Combined with Apple's focus on privacy and on-device processing, it feels like a major step forward.
If your current device is on the compatibility list above, you'll be able to experience the new Siri when it launches later this fall. And if you're planning to upgrade soon, it's definitely worth checking whether the model you're considering supports all of the newest AI features, not just Siri AI itself, but also the advanced voice controls and future on-device AI capabilities.
