It’s Apple Event week, which means we’re about to see a range of new product announcements in the first week of March 2026. For weeks now, rumors have been circulating about what Apple might reveal. Based on the latest reports and expectations, here are the products we could see introduced.

  • Low-cost colorful MacBooks in fun colors

  • MacBook M5 Pro & M5 Max

  • iPhone 17e

  • iPad Air M4

I really live up to this moment and I love to share the new products with all the details with my audience on social media, mostly my Threads channel. Yesterday, on March 2, the moment finally arrived. Apple introduced two new products: the iPhone 17e and the iPad Air M4. Let’s take a closer look and I’ll share my first impressions.

iPhone 17e

The iPhone 17e focuses on delivering a powerful everyday experience, with upgraded performance and camera capabilities in a familiar and refined package. It’s available in black, white, and a new soft pink finish, starting at 256GB of storage.

Key Specifications

  • 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display

  • 48MP single rear camera with Fusion Camera Sytem.

  • 4K 60fps Dolby Vision video recording

  • Ceramic Shield 2 for improved durability

  • A19 chip for faster performance and efficiency

  • MagSafe support

  • Starting storage: 256GB

  • Available in black, white, and soft pink

The combination of the A19 chip and the 48MP camera makes this device a strong everyday performer, especially for users who want a powerful iPhone without stepping into the Pro lineup.

My thoughts

My first reaction to the iPhone 17e was simply: wow. Especially when I saw the new Soft Pink color. It looks beautiful. To me, it almost feels like the return of Rose Gold, but just with a modern name. Soft Pink has for me that subtle, elegant tone that really stands out without being too bold. Apple says about the iPhone 17e that its Feature stacked, Value packed.
Another thing I really like about the iPhone 17e is the 48MP Fusion camera system. It’s the same camera technology you’ll find on the regular iPhone 17 and even the iPhone 17 Pro, which is impressive. The difference here is that the 17e keeps things simple with a single camera setup. But for its price point its very good.
I’m also impressed that it includes Ceramic Shield 2 for improved scratch resistance. That’s another feature shared with the regular iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro. It’s nice to see Apple bringing some of those premium features to this model as well.
Just like last year’s iPhone 16e, the new iPhone 17e supports Apple Intelligence, delivering fast and efficient AI performance. Its powered by the A19 chip, it feels quick and responsive, ready for everyday tasks and more advanced features.
And finally, MagSafe support is here. That’s something I’m genuinely happy about. Being able to use my favorite MagSafe accessories with the iPhone 17e makes it feel much more complete. It supports up to 15W wireless charging when paired with a 20W adapter or higher, which means faster and more convenient charging. The iPhone 17e is available in 256GB and 512GB storage options, which gives you enough flexibility depending on how much space you need. For me, these additions make the iPhone 17e feel like a complete and well-rounded device, rather than a simplified version.
Considering its price point, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a solid, more basic iPhone model that still offers modern features and strong performance.
The downside, in my opinion, is that the display is still 60Hz, and it’s 2026. I really believe Apple should make ProMotion with a 120Hz refresh rate the standard across all iPhone models.
Most people probably won’t immediately notice the difference, but once you’ve used a ProMotion display, it’s hard to go back. It’s not just about smoother scrolling. Also the entire iOS experience feels more fluid and responsive. That overall look and feel is noticeably better compared to a standard 60Hz screen.
Another thing I’m not a big fan of is the notch instead of the Dynamic Island. Since Apple introduced the Dynamic Island with the iPhone 14 Pro, it has really become part of the overall iPhone experience and the broader Apple ecosystem. There were rumors that the iPhone 17e would include the Dynamic Island, so I was a bit surprised to see the notch return instead. For me, that feels like a missed opportunity. Adding the Dynamic Island would have made the iPhone 17e feel more modern and complete, especially considering how integrated that feature has become in iOS.

iPad Air M4

The new iPad Air M4, brings more power and faster connectivity to the Air lineup. It has a new chip, improved wireless performance, and multiple size options, this iPad Air is designed to handle everything from everyday tasks to more demanding workflows.

Key Specifications

  • Powered by the new N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 Support.

  • 8-core CPU

  • 9-core GPU

  • C1X modem

  • Available in 11-inch and 13-inch models

  • Storage options from 128GB up to 1TB

  • Available in Blue, Purple, Starlight, and Space Gray

  • Available starting March 11

With the combination of the N1 chip and Wi-Fi 7 support, the iPad Air M4 feels positioned as a powerful and future-ready tablet. Especially for users who want strong performance without stepping into the Pro lineup.

I’ve always been a big fan of iPads, so when I saw the new iPad Air M4, my first reaction was excitement. Especially knowing it’s powered by the M4 chip. I already know how powerful and efficient this chip is, so bringing that level of performance to the iPad Air feels impressive. It really raises the bar for what you can expect from a non-Pro iPad.
I also really like the new colors. The Blue version especially stands out to me. It has a fresh, modern look without being too bold.
The addition of Wi-Fi 7 support makes the iPad Air M4 feel future-ready as well. With faster
Wi-Fi 7 routers becoming more common, it’s great to see Apple adding this level of connectivity. Apple is clearly moving forward by equipping its latest iPhones and iPads with the new C1X modem and N1 chip, creating a more powerful and consistent experience across the lineup. The modem improves your cellular data speeds, helping you stay connected faster and more reliably. The N1 chip manages wireless connectivity overall, including support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread, ensuring modern and stable connections across your devices.

What I really like about the new iPad Air M4 is that it comes in four different colors: Blue, Purple, Starlight, and Space Gray. Like I said the Blue color immediately caught my attention. I think it looks beautiful and so fresh to me. I’m honestly curious to see it in real life, because sometimes colors look even better outside of press photos.
It’s also available in four storage options, ranging from 128GB all the way up to 1TB. Personally, 128GB feels a bit limited to me. That said, I rely heavily on my 2TB iCloud plan, so most of my files, photos, and documents are stored in the cloud anyway.
What I do find interesting is that the iPhone 17e now starts at 256GB, while the new iPad Air M4 still offers a 128GB base model. It feels slightly inconsistent, especially since both are modern devices aimed at everyday users. In practice, I think most users will rely on iCloud or another cloud storage plan to store their photos, files, and other data anyway.

The iPad Air M4 is available in both 11-inch and 13-inch versions. For me personally, the 11-inch model is more than enough. The 13-inch iPad starts to feel a bit too large for my taste.
Since I already use a MacBook, I prefer having a 13-inch screen in laptop form rather than as a tablet. For my workflow, the smaller iPad feels more convenient and easier to use alongside my MacBook.

My toughts

Final thoughts

Overall, both the iPhone 17e and the iPad Air M4 feel like strong additions to Apple’s lineup. They might not completely reinvent itself, but they bring meaningful improvements in performance, design, and everyday usability.
The iPhone 17e stands out with its fresh new color Soft Pink, solid camera system, and welcome addition of MagSafe. The iPad Air M4 impresses with its powerful CPU and GPU, modern connectivity like WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, C1X modem, and updated design choices. Both devices feel modern and ready for the years ahead.
If you’re considering upgrading or stepping into the Apple ecosystem, these new releases are definitely worth a closer look.
Both products will be available starting March 11, and you can place your pre-order beginning March 4.
